A little more…
I grew up between the city and the woods. Though I was quick to curse my suburban roots as a teen, I now look back with gratitude.
At the ripe age of 9, I shipped off to farm camp and got my first lesson in sustainability—dirty and hands-on.
As a young teen, I’d spend one weekend mesmerized by the Scales of the Universe at the American Museum of Natural History’s Hayden Planetarium and the next gazing up at the Milky Way from a campsite on the Appalachian Trail.
Moving between the concrete jungle and the wilderness, I became enchanted by the power of observation. A camera became my full-time sidekick.
In 2008, I enrolled in Boston University’s Questrom School of Management intent on learning how to run a business and share my vision as a photographer. Instead, I was exposed to sustainability, entrepreneurship, and the global energy system. I saw the dark side of humanity’s endless quest for growth. I vowed to become part of the solution.
Since then, I’ve been working in mission-driven companies intent on making the world a more sustainable, enjoyable, and equitable place.
