Summary

Venture builder and UX researcher currently consulting independently, leading the customer-research workstreams that de-risk product and venture decisions for corporate innovation labs and venture studios — the Mitsubishi Electric Innovation Center (via Creative Dock) and Analog Devices (via Greenlight Idea Lab). Carnegie Mellon Design MA grounded in qualitative discovery, expert and stakeholder interviewing, and quantitative validation, paired with the founder's-eye view that comes from building and scaling a venture from zero.

At Mach49, ran research across four client engagements that all advanced to funding or build-out — three securing $1.5M+ in seed investment — and co-founded a conservation-tech venture that secured an international pilot in a 26,500 sq-km reserve. At Sunrun, owned end-to-end research for a 100,000+ customer-per-year program: traced a 50% post-signature cancellation rate to its root causes and designed the Verification Call intervention (NPS +16, retention +10%). Mentor to the BU Questrom Honors Program and 2025 Cleantech Open "Rookie Mentor of the Year".

Experience & Results

Independent Research Consultant

2025 - Present • Freelance • Creative Dock, Greenlight Idea Lab • New York (Remote)

  • Creative Dock × Mitsubishi Electric Innovation Center (MELIC): Led the customer research workstream on a 7-week venture sprint — ICP development, participant recruitment, interviewing, and synthesis across three venture theses (food-manufacturing technology, virtual power plants, and industrial remote monitoring). Personally ran 23 of the team's 28 stakeholder interviews; synthesis narrowed the team to industrial remote monitoring, and the Mitsubishi sponsor endorsed the findings to advance into a next-phase venture build-out.
  • Analog Devices (via Greenlight Idea Lab): Teaching Greenlight's customer-research methods to two field application engineers while jointly running pain-point validation and concept-card interviews to guide development of AI-empowered tools for ADI's Apollo MXFE products. Conducted 12 interviews, validated pain points, and now prioritizing concept development through synthesis.
  • Greenlight Idea Lab: Recruited and screened interview participants for early-stage research in the utility / grid-management space.
